About British Rafting

British Rafting represents the interests of rafters across the UK, both in commercial and sports competitive ventures.

British Rafting is the rafting discipline committee of British Canoeing.

The Committee of British Rafting are volunteers elected on a bi-annual basis. They are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the organisation as a whole, and for promoting rafting in both commercial and competitive forms across the UK. You can find out more about the Committee here.

British Rafting is a discipline committee of the UK’s national governing body for paddlesports, British Canoeing (BC).

With the support of the resources at British Canoeing,  British Rafting can ensure we move the sport of rafting forward across the UK with a level of autonomy.

International Rafting Federation

Great Britain has been a competing member of the International Rafting Federation (IRF) since 1999.

British Rafting’s interests are represented on the IRF Board of Directors by our current Chair (Sean Clarke) which allows the UK to have a voice regarding rafting matters worldwide.

British Rafting are the official selection body for the teams wishing to represent Great Britain at European and World Rafting competitions.
